Nature - Thick eucalyptus forests and wonderful white sandy beaches

Stunning shorelines with long, white sandy beaches, cliff coasts and small bays as well as thick eucalyptus forests and scenic wine-growing regions - the landscape of Western Australia's south-western tip is incredibly diverse. Australia's south-west offers a great number of natural attractions from the underground caves and vineyards in the region of Margaret River, the idyllic bay and granite rocks of the Cape Le Grand National Park to the beautiful mountains (Buff Knoll) of the Stirling Ranges and the wonderful eucalyptus trees of the Great Southern. Another highlight is the Valley of the Giants with the Tree Top Walk (at an altitude of 30 m) in the Walpole-Nornalup National Park. Age-old eucalyptus giants like the karri tree string together here. They are up to 90 metres high, which makes them the highest tree species on earth. The eucalyptus tree "red tingle" is equally typical of the region's flora. It is not as high but has an impressive trunk circumference. In addition, the rock formation of the Elephant Rocks in the William Bay National Park and the mysterious limestone caves in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park are part of the local nature.
