Which European countries take part in the speed marathon?
Half of Europe is on alert and has prepared for the first European speed enforcement marathon. There will be over 13,000 policemen is more than 7,000 places in Germany alone tomorrow. Cars, lorries and motorcycles will be checked tomorrow. Altogether 22 European countries take part in the speed marathon on the 16th of April in 2015.
Which countries in Europe put up speed cameras?
The European speed marathon is being coordinated and planned by a coalition of agents and policemen of the European countries – the TISPOL (Traffic Information System Police). You find all information on it here. Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, for example, put up speed cameras. Switzerland and France, on the other hand, do not take part in the large-scale speed enforcement event. All 22 countries which take part in the speed marathon are shown on this map:
